Mushrooms- Students will learn about the growing process and harvesting of mushrooms. They will visit our mushroom chamber and explore the world of fungi.
Hydroponics- Learn about innovative growing with our greenhouse expert! Students will get to see the behind-the-scenes process of growing using water and micronutrients in our greenhouse.
Compost– Students will explore the world of this sustainable practice, while also learning about microbes and the breaking down of food. This lesson is great for groups looking for a more advanced lesson on compost and who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Chickens– Groups will learn about and spend time with our hens in the chicken coop! Learn about how chickens are part of our ecosystem at Harlem Grown, and the dynamic lives they live on our farm.
Bee Keeping – Discover the importance of bees in our environment and how we are dependent on them for much of our food and resources.
